Responsorium Disc Frameset – Ciavete Finish
The Responsorium is Pegoretti’s pinnacle stainless-steel frameset — light, reactive, and built for riders who demand modern performance without sacrificing classic feel.
Ciavete is the original ‘surprise me’ scheme, a freeform, abstract painting style equally inspired by the client and the moment.
‘Ciavete’ is a word in Italian dialect that means ‘whatever we want.’ That’s a polite edit. Transposed to paint, it means that we create, as any artist must, in our style. However, we will happily note down your color likes and dislikes or any inspiration you wish to communicate before starting to paint. Once complete, the first time you’ll see your Ciavete artwork will be when you receive your frame.
Naturally, a lot of trust is involved in handing over complete artistic freedom, which is why Ciavate art, like our painted graphics and panel schemes, is an optional add-on chosen when ordering.
Pegoretti Duende Rock & Roll All-Terrain Bike
The Duende is Pegoretti’s most versatile, smooth-riding steel frameset — and the Rock & Roll variant adds rear-triangle flex for extra comfort. The Spaghetti artwork brings playful, hand-drawn surrealism.
Pegoretti frames trace a line from the road to the trail and even back to a different era with the classic silhouettes of our lugged models.
Towards the end of every summer for the past twenty years, when the swallows start to think about their journey south, we’ve made Duende CX frames. However, unless you’re a fan of cantilever brakes and wide-tire cyclocross frames, the CX may have passed you by.
After fielding requests for an update to this beloved Pegoretti frame, we decided to add a new model to the Duende family, the Duende Rock & Roll. The new frame blends the all-terrain heritage of the CX with the spirit of our road frames and takes off for pastures new with the versatility to ride on any surface.
The Duende Rock & Roll features custom Columbus XCR stainless steel tubing, disc brakes, and a new carbon fiber fork, ‘Piron,’ that accepts up to 40mm of tyres. It’s a radically different design to our Falz fork, necessarily so, because the Rock & Roll is built for versatility.
As a road frame, the Duende Rock & Roll blends superb responsiveness and comfort and the modularity of wider tires. All-weather optional add-ons like mudguard mounts allow the frame to shoulder the worst conditions without skipping a beat. With the option of rack mounts and a switch to flat bars, the Duende Rock & Roll turns into a fast city commuter. And for those who look beyond the tarmac to trails and more challenging terrain, the Duende Rock & Roll equips the modern explorer for less pristine conditions that come with following your curiosity, wherever that may lead.
