Selecting the right helmet for road cyclists is vital for both safety and performance.

Factors such as ventilation, padding, weight, and protection play a crucial role in determining the most suitable helmet choice, although the wide range of options available can sometimes make that decision seem overwhelming.

That’s why we’ve created this quickfire guide to our road cycling range – to help you find the helmet that best suits your needs.

ELEMENTO // All-round Performance

The newest addition to KASK’s road cycling range is the Elemento. This ground-breaking helmet was developed in collaboration with INEOS Grenadiers and incorporates a revolutionary design and pioneering technologies such as Fluid Carbon 12 and Multipod which provide the very best safety and comfort whilst also setting new standards in aerodynamics and ventilation. This top-of-the-range, all-round helmet is ideal for elite athletes seeking maximum protection and performance.

UTOPIA Y // Supreme Aerodynamics

Building on the success of the original Utopia, the Utopia Y pushes the boundaries of aerodynamics and ventilation even further and is designed for elite road cyclists who prioritize speed. The helmet’s distinct design is ultra-efficient, and as well as maximizing airflow whilst minimizing drag, it features the OCTOFIT+ retention system and Resistex Carbon padding to guarantee a comfortable, stable and breathable fit. No wonder it’s another option for the INEOS Grenadiers.

PROTONE ICON // All-round Versatility

The Protone Icon is another top-tier helmet designed to blend performance, aerodynamics and safety, making it an exceptional choice across a variety of disciplines. Every aspect of this modern-day classic has been designed to push performance to the limit. Its internal frame is stronger and more compact than its predecessor – the Protone – while the updated outer shell is also both elegant and fast. The OCTOFIT+ retention system and CoolMax® lining optimize comfort and moisture management, while the faux-leather chin strap adds an added touch of class.

VALEGRO // Lightness and Ventilation

Also designed in collaboration with INEOS Grenadiers, the Valegro offers extreme lightness and top-level ventilation. The Valegro’s shell was wind tunnel tested to deliver exceptional thermo-cooling performance, with 37 ventilation holes and quick-dry Resistex Carbon padding combining to make it the choice of the pros on the toughest climbs and hottest roads. Weighing just 180g (size small), the Valegro is super light, with floating cradle contact points, internal gel pads, skeletal brackets and an OCTOFIT adjuster all integrated to deliver an incredible fit.

WASABI // Temperature Control

The Wasabi is the helmet of choice for serious cyclists looking to maintain comfort and performance, whatever the weather. With a slide of the hand, the Wasabi’s centralized vent can be opened when the action hots up to increase internal airflow, or shut when the weather cools down, or when you need to make every watt count. Other premium features of this innovative helmet include a merino wool lining which protects against temperature fluctuations, and a faux-leather chinstrap which avoids skin irritation.

MOJITO³ // Proven all-rounder

Helmets don’t come much more iconic than the Mojito. This is an all-round model that has stood the test of time and firmly cemented its place in the KASK hall of fame. The Mojito³ is the latest evolution of this seminal helmet, restyled to be better than ever before. Its unique shape has been designed with performance, comfort and style in mind. It’s a helmet which is versatile enough to deliver, wherever the road takes you.

SINTESI // Impressive Adaptability

With its impressive performance, comfort, and all-round protection, the Sintesi is the ideal choice for any cyclist looking for a stylish, affordable and versatile option. The Sintesi’s lightweight design boasts an EPS inner shell, polycarbonate outer and breathable and antibacterial Blue Tech padding for added comfort. The Ergo Fit adjustment system meanwhile, ensures the helmet stays put, even on the toughest terrain.

While every KASK road helmet has its own unique characteristics, each one has passed the KASK Rotational Impact WG11 Test which we created to ensure our protection far exceeds international norms. Find out more about the test HERE.

We recommend replacing your helmet approximately every three years because over time its capacity for protection decreases due to the aging of the materials.

After any violent impact, even if no damage is visible, the helmet should be replaced because its capacity to absorb further impact could be impaired.

KASK ROTATIONAL IMPACT WG11 TEST

KASK created the Rotational Impact WG11 Test to provide safer helmets. An invisible layer of protection that far exceeds international norms. The independent lab-tested safety protocol challenges the industry and surpasses the highest standards.

With our scientific background and intensive testing, we create head protection that outperforms even the most stringent test procedures with ease. We are committed to the highest safety standards for all your rides.
